The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources issued the "Monthly Bulletin for Industry and Mining" for March 2023, highlighting the key figures and indicators for the industrial and mining sectors in the Kingdom. 

The bulletin sheds light on the significant changes in both sectors, focusing on new and existing investments and the rate of change in job opportunities.

The bulletin, issued by the National Industrial and Mining Information Center, indicated that between January and March 2023, 332 new industrial licenses were issued with investments totaling 8.2 billion riyals. Additionally, 300 factories commenced production with investments exceeding 7.9 billion riyals, and the sector created 28,332 job opportunities, 54% of which were for Saudi nationals.

The bulletin also revealed that by the end of March 2023, the total number of factories in the Kingdom reached 10,825, with investments amounting to 1.4 trillion riyals.

Regarding the mining sector, the bulletin indicated that the total number of active mining licenses by the end of March 2023 was 2,314, including 1,451 building material quarry licenses, 609 exploration licenses, 180 small mining and exploitation licenses, 42 survey licenses, and 32 excess mineral resource licenses.
